Mud, guts and good play

It was a little hard to tell who was who on Saturday as Bonnie Doon clashed with Milawa in what looked like a mud wrestle for most of the match. BONNIE Doon seniors hosted the top team Milawa on Saturday.

Doon expected a hard game after its 20 goal defeat suffered at the hands of this team earlier in the year.

Milawa played a fantastic game, but Bonnie Doon showed enormous improvement to only lose by 20 points.

Although the sun shone, the ground left a little to be desired.

With all the rain experienced over the past few weeks the Bonnie Doon ground needs a couple of dry weeks to recover.

By the end of the match it was a little hard to tell who was playing on which team as Doon’s colors of black and red and Milawa’s navy blue and red, and mud covering most players from head to toe conditions even gave the umpires a hard time distinguishing the players.
