AFTER last week’s massive effort put in by all players, the Mansfield lads were raring to go against the Shepparton Bears on Saturday.

Again because of injuries to several players, Sean Purcell and Matt Reyment this week, we were left with some shoes to fill in the line up.

We were fortunate enough to have Alex Stephens, Dan Maloney and Tim Orchard down from the one’s this week and also big Tim Beryini made a timely appearance.

During this week, the word was put out for some of Mansfield’s past players in town to help get a side together.

To the teams delight players Phil Doeven, Tony Cooksey, Kane Blunt, Jarrod Hueston and Aaron Madsen made their way into the rooms.

We also had the services of several other lads, mates of Dan Maloney and Adam Boshevski, which gave us a full side on the ground and bench since I can’t remember when.
