Cubby gets green light

MANSFIELD Community Cubby House will open its ‘new doors’ at the recently completed Mansfield Family and Children’s Centre on Tuesday, September 2.

The ‘new Cubby’, which has received licence approval from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, is currently being fitted out with new furniture, educational play equipment and finishing touches to the spacious and stimulating outdoor play areas.

The relocation of Cubby from its outdated premises in Erril Street to the new Mansfield Family and Children’s Centre, at 10 Davies Street, has been welcomed by Cubby families and staff.

Children’s services manager Nicole Lovett said “having worked on this project for seven years, it is wonderful to finally see Mansfield Community Cubby House with new and improved facilities”.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the families, staff and children for their constant support,” Ms Lovett said.

“We are excited to continue to provide high quality care and programs for the children in this new environment.”
