Book delights walking street

WIZARDS, pirates, footballers and Mexicans – all were seen walking the street during the Mansfield Primary School book week parade last week, including (from left) Sam Guppy, Alex Clarke, Benson Clarke and Saskia Haslau.

STRANGE characters were seen walking the streets of Mansfield last week – some more recognisable than others.

But it was not an invasion of aliens – just children from Mansfield Primary School dressed as book characters celebrating National Book Week.

The tradition of parading in the street brought out lots of mums, siblings and grandparents to watch as the parade went by.

Children had a great time and created quite a spectacle for shoppers – some of whom stopped in their tracks asking what was going on?
