MANSFIELD Hospital Auxiliary conducted its annual general meeting (AGM) last week, and reported on another busy year of fundraising for the Mansfield District Hospital (MDH).
More than 20 people attended the AGM at Bentley House, including Mansfield Shire mayor Ray Robinson, Hospital chief executive officer Janene Ridley, and director of nursing, Margaretanne Hood.
Following a tabling of apologies and approval of the 2013 AGM minutes, treasurer Marion Mitchell presented the accounts for 2013/14, which again demonstrated the valuable work the auxiliary does in raising funds.
Major fundraising events included the annual art show, golf day and film nights, which amassed more than $60,000 in proceeds, while key expenses included around $19,000 for the art show and more than $4000 in donations to the hospital.
Ms Mitchell advised the meeting that $25,000 had already been set aside for agreed hospital equipment purchases, while a further $45,000 had been earmarked for the purchase of three replacement defibrillators for the hospital.
Ms Ridley then presented an update on the management activities of the hospital over the past 12 months and into the future.
