Fletcher is joining BMX team in USA

BMX BANDITS: Hayden Fletcher with new team mate Tyler Whitfield. Hayden has been signed up by a major BMX factory racing team in America.

LOCAL BMX racer Hayden Fletcher has accepted a deal to join a major factory team in the USA.

Squared Answer Troy Lee is one of the biggest and most professional teams on the American BMX national circuit, the deal being for the remainder of this year, 2015 and beyond.

Upon hearing the news, Hayden’s father, Paul said: “It was like being drafted by Collingwood.

“This team has some of the best riders in the USA, they have full time mechanics, full time chef, it really is a dream come true for Hayden,” Fletcher said.

The team’s owner, Jim Buchanan, said it wasn’t just Hayden’s riding talent that caught the team’s attention, it was also the way he presented himself, and the way he connected with the younger kids.

Hayden’s parents Sally and Paul, along with Jim Buchanan and USA BMX are now working on the finer details to allow Hayden to race full time in the USA next year.
