Seniors’ Week kicks off with plenty to do

WHAT CAN I DO?: Mansfield Shire Mayor Cr Ray Robinson (right) with Cr Marg Attley (left) and Seniors Week coordinator Michele Padbury look over the Senior’s Week program at the opening on Monday.

SENIORS’ Week kicked off on Monday at Mansfield Shire Council chambers with a great morning tea, a welcome from the mayor Ray Robinson and music by Denis Tucker.
Cr Robinson noted that the theme this year for seniors was ‘Taking Care of Yourself’, to which he noted the large number attending appeared to be doing just that.
“Working through the program of what’s happening in Mansfield this week there seems to be a lot to do,” he said.
Cr Robinson urged all seniors to take part in the activities this week and to get out and enjoy themselves.
He praised the efforts of Seniors’ Week coordinator Michele Padbury for putting together an excellent program of events.
Due to the fire last week at Café Connect the “Get More Out OF Your IT Gadgets” has been postponed.
