THE second week of Little Athletics competition turned out to be one of those special nights to remember.

It was busy as it was bring a friend night, and everyone warmed up and headed off to their first event.

On the track it started with the 60m hurdles, as under 8s had their first go at mastering the rhythm and timing for this event, while under 15 Britney Allen was a picture of rhythm and timing burning up the track to set a new centre record.

Winners were Lachlan Peck, Zoe Greene, Ty Sheeran, Hannah Allen, Roland Kukainis, Tahlia Browning, Will King, Alannah Shaw, Grace Hood, Mathew Empey, Riana Allen, Tynan Mims, Willis Lines and Britney Allen.

The hurdles were then cleared ready for some flat sprints, and under 6 Sophie Shaw, first time at Little Athletics, first event, flew down the track to break the centre record for the 60m.

For such a great start she has earned herself the Star of the Week.
