IT was a much closer margin this week in under 12 cricket between Bushrangers and Middle Stumpers.

Nathan Buchanan and Luke Berriman opened the batting for the Stumpers and Buchanan was quick off the mark, hitting a boundary in the first over he faced.

Berriman hit the boundary a couple of times and top scored for the Stumpers with 12, and Jai McKinnon found form this week and retired on 6.

Isaac Murray took to the crease for his first bat of the season and put a couple of runs on the board, helping the Middlestumpers to a respectable score of 59 off their 20 overs faced.

Bushrangers Max Lange and Jake Berry took a catch each, while Berry and Lachie Scales both bowled well with a maiden over each.

Chad Turner took a wicket and Tristan bowled well to also capture a wicket, while behind the stumps, Archie Storer got a knock but that didn’t keep him down.
