FOR residents and visitors alike who had to queue in their cars at the roundabout, or do laps of town looking for a parking space, the holiday season in Mansfield was a busy one.
The town was awash with people from before Christmas till after New Year.
To start, the Visitor Information Centre was steadily busy over the holidays.
“We have been nice and steady, with visitation numbers slightly up on last year,” spokesperson Claire Christopher said.
This busy period flowed over to local business with strong retail sales across the board.
Cafes saw their busiest period for some years.
Matt Picone at The Coffee Merchant was rapt with the business level over the holidays.
