Mansfield secures finals berth in ladies pennant

WITH just two rounds left until the finals, Mansfield Ladies’ Pennant team has secured a berth in the finals with an emphatic win against Myrtleford at Myrtleford.

All three rinks had good wins, overpowering Myrtleford 100 shots to 41, a winning margin of 59.

Lyn Foots, Noreen O’Brien, Denise Storer and Colleen Christopher had the closest game of the day, with a 22 shots to 16 win.

Comeback of the day came from the team of Irene Fuller, Elaine Peterson, Enid Smith and Kris Humphrey, who were down two shots to eight after the fifth end.

They went on to win the next 17 ends to emerge as winners with 33 shots to 11.

The team of Julie Holland, Marion Ryan, Carolyn Close and Colleen Leeds had total control in their game, winning 11 of the first 12 ends.
