He’s lived mainly in cities but High Country is home

The country boy inside Martin Hunt has given Mansfield a legal resource for generations

COUNTRY BOY: Martin Hunt is very relaxed with the law and the town.

MARTIN Hunt may have spent 14 years of his life living in Melbourne, but he has always been a country boy at heart.

Born in Stawell in 1957, it was a very small town in those days.

“There was no vet, so my dad, a doctor, had to look after the needs of animals as well,” Martin said with a smile.

“From Stawell I then spent from five to 10 years of age at Oxford – a pretty big change.

“My mum, also a doctor, was there for specialist training in eye surgery.”

During his primary years the young Martin became very familiar with stately homes and summer trips to Europe.
