A moneyspinner has gone missing

MANSFIELD is missing out on millions of dollars being put into the shire economy, due to the lack of a local BMX track.

Not for lack of trying by the Mansfield Mount Buller Cycling Club (MMBCC) though.

For the past six years the club has tried to get a local track up and running – without success.

It is frustrated with Mansfield Shire Council and the fact local businesses are missing out on what could be a money-spinner.

“The MMBCC has been continually asked for information that has already been supplied years before,” chair for the BMX sub-committee for MMBCC, Paul Fletcher, said.

“In April last year in a discussion with Michael Bismire, development services manager for the council, his view was ‘we are back in first gear, not reverse’.
