Melanie comes home to perform

TOP TALENT: Melanie Taylor of Tolmie will return to the Mansfield district to perform at the Bonnie Doon Music Festival this weekend after being named Melbourne’s second best street busker.

LOCAL Tolmie singer and busker Melanie Taylor will be performing at this weekend’s Bonnie Doon Music Festival at the Bonnie Doon Recreation Reserve.

Taylor recently was voted the second best Melbourne Street Busker through the Herald Sun popularity vote.

She will perform at the festival on Friday night and during Saturday on the ‘buskers stage’.

Taylor regularly busks in Melbourne’s Flinders Street station underground, helping to pay her way through university but recently said she loves being out there for the experience it gives in performing before audiences.

Catch Taylor, along with other local performers such as Martin Jones and Meg Jones, both performing in their own right, and the many nationally recognised blues, folk and country performers.
