WELL known young local skateboarder Hayley Wilson (right) competed in the 2015 Globe Australian Skateboarding Championships on Saturday, March 21.
Hayley qualified for the 2015 Globe Australian Skateboarding Championships which saw skateboarders compete from right across Australia and New Zealand.
The event took place at the St Kilda Skatepark in bayside Melbourne and was a huge success among riders and spectators.
Wilson, at 13 years of age, competed in the under 16 boys and girls category and was riding for her sponsor Simply Skateboarding.
One of the youngest competitors on the day, Wilson and the other girls competed against a strong field of boys.
Of the 35 competitors she was thrilled to place 19th against the boys, was the second placed girl on the day, and was only seven points behind 15 year old world champion female Poppy Starr Olsen, who placed first.
