Ollie ready for Anzac Cove

OFF TO ANZAC COVE: Oliver Sladdin (left) was presented with an Anzac commemoration scarf by local RSL member Bill Romans to be worn while taking part in the centenary commemorations at Anzac Cove.

OLIVER Sladdin is about to set off on the trip of a lifetime.

Oliver was chosen to represent Mansfield school students at the Gallipoli centenary of Anzac at Anzac Cove, Turkey on April 25.

He is one of 80 students who will leave Victoria on Monday, April 20.

“I am getting very excited but also nervous about the trip,” Oliver said last week.

“This Friday I will have the chance to meet other students who are going on this trip, but I don’t expect all of the 80 will be there as the get together is being held in Bendigo.

“I am mainly interested in visiting the battlefields and Anzac Cove,” he said.
