IT’S not just a ‘man’s shed’ but a working environment for the greenkeeper/maintenance worker and grounds volunteers at the Mansfield Bowls Club.

Officially opened last week, representatives from the Mansfield and District Community (Bendigo) Bank were on hand to view the new shed which it had contributed to through community funding.

Club president Julie Holland said the old shed badly needed replacing and now that this new shed was completed it would improve working conditions for the greenkeeper and others.

She thanked the community bank for its continued support to the club.

“This club is not just for members but is open to the wider community, and we are continually looking at ways to improve the facility,” she said.

The bank contributed $1500 towards the cost of replacing the shed which will be used as part of the Safe Storage project, providing a safe lockable section within the new shed.
