BONNIE Doon were up against Milawa who sits at the top end of the ladder and came up with a blistering second half against the Bombers on Saturday.

After a tight first half, the Demons piled on an incredible 18 goals after halftime to blitz the Bombers, charging to a 59-point victory.

Jack Stamp (8) and Nathan Hooper (5) were sensational for Milawa, booting 13 goals between them.

It was a big day for small forwards, with Bonnie Doon’s Shannon Galea beating a handful of opponents on his way to a nine-goal haul.

Interestingly, Stamp and Galea started the day matched-up on one another in the midfield.

Bonnie Doon coach Terry Mahoney said the Bombers knew they were coming up against one of the competition powerhouses and that is how it proved.
