Sport and horses run in Kammy’s veins

A good sporting career in equestrian events, administration and breeding has been her life’s work

HORSE WOMAN: Kammy Cordner-Hunt takes a log in her stride.

KAMMY Cordner-Hunt is well known in the Mansfield district for her political involvement.

However, an active sporting life centred around horses has been the backbone of her existence.

Kammy was born in Greensborough in 1958 when the area was semi-rural.

“Mum was from the outback and dad was a rural GP,” she explained.

“After school, I started studying medicine, but fell out of love with it.

“Before heading back to university, I spent a year as a jillaroo on a northern NSW station.”
