New primary care centre for Mansfield

WELCOME: Receptionist Lara Harding surrounded by the new foyer at Mansfield District Hospital, a flow on from the primary care additions.

THE Primary Care Centre (PCC) at Mansfield District Hospital (MDH) will be officially opened by Sussan Ley (MHR, Farrer), Minister for Health and Minister for Sport, on July 9 at 2.30pm.

The PCC will provide a range of benefits and improvements for the local community.

The goal of the service is to provide coordinated, integrated, responsive, efficient and sustainable primary and community care services, a ‘one-stop-shop’, where people can make one phone call or visit one service to access the primary health care services they require.

The PCC will also provide better facilities for staff and clients.

Flexibility is a key point of the design as rooms are able to have multiple uses ensuring additional space as services expand.

The Renal Unit will also move to the PCC and will provide space for an additional dialysis chair.
