Reserves roll on with hard fought win

Matt Storer

THE ‘mighty’ Mansfield reserves made the long and eventful trip to Echuca last Saturday. The team loaded into a mini bus bright and early Saturday morning and headed off full of hope and really eager to try to draw level with the Bombers in third spot with seven wins. The day got off to an eventful start with a minor hiccup some 10km out of Shepparton with a break down and a one hour pit stop. With a change of travel arrangements the reserves were off again. They got to the ground at half time of the thirds and were buoyed to see the Eagle lads taking it up to top placed Echuca. The reserves game started and understandably they were a little flat footed, with Echuca playing most of the quarter in their attacking half.
