What a performance by Mansfield Eagles

IN probably their best performance for the past two years, the Eagles seniors hosted Shepparton United at the Eagles Nest and put them to the sword by 70 points.

Even the opposition supporters would have gone home satisfied that their team had been beaten by a better side.

A mammoth 10.3 in the final quarter saw the Eagles finish the job – not often do they put another team away.

However, they need this in their fight to get to the finals as their percentage is still low – 93.14.

The Eagles are now ahead in the win loss ratio six and five, and sit eighth but equal on points with sixth.

The skill level and teamwork of the Mansfield boys was impressive.

It was a very polished performance.

“Probably the best four quarters of footy we have played this year,” senior coach Simon Dolling said.
