DESPITE the Antarctic vortex, O and K footy was still on the agenda last weekend.

Saturday saw the coldest day of the year, as Bonnie Doon travelled up the highway to take on fellow finals aspirant Tarrawingee.

Having played Tarrawingee at home just a few weeks ago, and Bonnie Doon prevailing by only 10 points, it was expected to be a tough challenge.

In an even first quarter, on a very heavy ground, Bonnie Doon was able to keep their noses in front with a three goal to two goal lead.

Shannon Galea, Dan Heazlewood and Josh Evans all hit the scoreboard.
