STATE Emergency Service (SES) North East Region recently awarded four Mansfield unit members for their long and committed service.

The awards were for Lyn Poulson 25 years, Rod Poulson 25 years, Marie Marchetti 15 years and Geoff Webb 35 years.

The annual awards ceremony was held at the Glasshouse Room Benalla and the presentations were awarded by the State Emergency Service chief officer operations Trevor White and the North East regional manager Keith O’Brien followed by a light luncheon and a catch up with other members from around the North East.

Recently appointed as controller for the local branch was Tom Thoburn who replaced long standing controller Peter Lewis.

The unit, although having a good number of members already, is always open to new members.

Anyone interested in becoming a SES volunteer can talk to other members each Wednesday night when the unit meets at 7.30pm.
