A MOVING tribute was given to Mansfield Shire Council’s retiring chief executive officer, David Roff, on Friday, when he left the building for the last time, with staff forming a guard of honor, applauding him.

Tributes were also voiced at Mr Roff’s last council meeting last Tuesday.

Mayor Marg Attley said “on behalf of the council and personally, I thank you for your strong commitment to your role as CEO over the last eight years”.

“You have worked tirelessly to the betterment of this council and community,” Cr Attley said.

“It has been a time of growth, strong improvement to the services and infrastructure for the community’s benefit and increased standing of this council in the realm of local governments across Victoria.

“You are a true professional with a strong knowledge of local government and I appreciate your support to me over the last eight years,” she said.
