Peter Moore has been through one adventure after another - and he hasn’t finished yet

MAINDAMPLE’S Peter Moore could easily have been the model for Lucky Starr’s song ‘I’ve Been Everywhere Man’.

“I’ve been everywhere, man, ‘Cross the deserts bare, man, I’ve breathed the mountain air, man, Of travel I’ve had my share, man, I’ve been ev’rywhere`.”

There are not many parts of Australia that Peter has not lived in, passed through or flown over.

Peter was born in 1949 in Footscray before his father, a mechanic, moved the family to Port Pirie.

“We returned to Victoria and I went to Bacchus Marsh High School up to matriculation,” he explained.

“I wanted to be a commercial pilot – Dad was an aircraft engineer – but a gun shot in the eye put an end to that dream.
