Eagles’ reserves primed for Sunday’s grand final

NOT many teams can go from the wooden spoon to grand finalists in one season.

However, the Mansfield Eagles’ reserve team has accomplished just that and will be running on to Deakin Reserve this Sunday at 11.40am to take on the Mooroopna Cats.

In season 2014, the Eagles reserves had only two wins and a percentage of just 40 per cent.

What a difference a year makes.

For this season the ‘magoos’ had a 14 win, four loss record with a healthy percentage of 159 per cent for a third place on the home and away ladder.

“I suppose depth of numbers and a healthy list are the reasons for the turn around,” coach Matt ‘Donga’ Storer said.
