Family fun at the festival

Heavy rains just as the High Country Festival’s Rotary Grand Parade was about to start on Saturday morning did not deter this group of little ‘super heroes’ from taking park in this popular annual event. Children, accompanied by their parents, from the Mansfield Kindergarten dressed in their favourite super hero outfits and paraded for all to see. A roundup of festival highlights from the weekend can be seen on pages 16 and 17 and scattered throughout this week’s Courier.

MANSFIELD’S High Country Festival has again been hailed a success despite heavy rains on Saturday.

Friday’s street carnival, followed by the torchlight parade and fireworks was again well received by thousands who attended.

And despite rain on Saturday many turned out for the annual bush market and street parade.

Sunday saw rains lighten off and open gardens, Maindample Country Fair and many other events still go ahead.
