BRONZE FINISH: Max Fricke on his way to collecting a bronze medal at the 2015 FIM Speedway U21 World Cup Final at Mildura’s Olympic Park.

MAX Fricke and his Under 21 Australian Speedway team competed in the World Cup speedway event in Mildura last weekend.

The team of Brady Kurtz, Max Fricke, Nick Morris and Jack Holder, managed by Mark Lemon, finished third to champions Poland and runner-up Denmark.

Local Victorian speedway star Max Fricke said it was really cool to win a Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme medal.

“All the boys tried really hard,” Max said.

“We had a bit of bad luck along the way, and a few of us, especially myself, would have liked to have done a touch better.

“But it was still a really good effort by the boys and it was good to come away with a medal and it was a really good experience,” the 19-year-old added.
