THEY say sisters have a bond like no other, and it would certainly appear to be true if you take the Allen girls as an example.
Fifteen-year-old Britney Allen is undertaking a 200 kilometre run next year, and all in the name of sisterly love.
Heading out from Mansfield in April, she will give herself a week to make it to the Royal Children’s Hospital – the maxiofacial ward in particular.
Because Britney’s younger sister, Zoe, has been there more times than she cares to remember.
“Zoe was born with a bilateral Tessier facial cleft – she’s had a lot of operations right from when she was born,” Britney explained.
Britney is the daughter of Neil – the Lock Doctor – and Jodie Allen, who are the incredibly proud parents of four girls.
