THE end of an era within the musical community of Mansfield came recently when the Capella Singers gave their final performance.
After 27 years the choristers folded away their music sheets and sang their final farewell.
The Capella Singers formed when approached by MMuDS to provide a group for a show.
They enjoyed the experience so decided to continue singing together and have done so for more than a quarter of a century.
The group has performed many concerts in Mansfield, but has also ventured to other venues, including the Melbourne Town Hall, Wangaratta’s Anglican Cathedral, the Wagga Wagga Eisteddfod and for the past four years at the Swanpool Carol Service.
And although the group has officially disbanded it was announced it will still perform at this year’s Swanpool event.
