Delatite puts the runs on the board

DELATITE has put its best foot forward after a stumble last week against Beechworth in the Wangaratta and District Cricket Association A grade competition.

This time the opposition was Ovens Valley United, based at Myrtleford.

At Mansfield’s pristine Lords Reserve, the hosts produced their best score of the season, and at the same time put themselves in the box seat for a win this coming Saturday.

Opting to bat first, all but two of Delatite’s batsmen made it into double figures.

Dean Shaw provided a flying start with five fours in his 22.

Lachie Christopher was implacable with 34, and Mitch Purcell 15 and Patrick Marks 11 added some value.
