Change of roles for Amber

NEW ROLE: Amber Gardner will take up her new role as chief executive officer of Tourism North East later this month.

MT BULLER’S marketing manager, Amber Gardner, will leave her beloved mountain in three weeks’ time to take up a new position with Tourism North East (TNE).

Ms Gardner has been with Mt Buller Alpine Resort for the past 10 years.

Speaking on Monday, she said although she was very sad at leaving the mountain she loved so much, she was excited about her new role.

“I love this mountain and the people on it but I also saw the opportunity of taking on a new role,” she said.

Ms Gardner will be based at Beechworth but sees her role as covering the whole North East.

Chair of Tourism North East, Patrick Carrick, announced recently that after nearly five years in the role TNE CEO Sara Quon would be leaving TNE in early 2016 to take up the role as group CEO with Beechworth Honey.
