THE SITTER: The sitter for this year’s Three Faces Portrait Art Prize presented by the Arts Council of Mansfield is Major (Retired) Bruce Bingham.

ARTS Council of Mansfield revealed its guest ‘sitter’ and artists for the bi-annual Three Faces Portrait Art Prize on Friday night before a large gathering at the Delatite Hotel.

Major (Retired) Bruce Bingham was ‘revealed’ as this year’s portrait sitter.

In introducing the artists and sitter, Arts Council member and Three Faces co-ordinator, Liz Bannister, outlined the background of all and explained the sitter was chosen from a number of past “Citizen of the Year” awardees.

“Major Bingham’s extensive roles with Victoria Police, Australian Army, RSL, local CFA and emergency services management saw him a worthy candidate for this role,” she said.

Artists chosen for this year’s portrait competition were Kym Stubbs, Pamela Moore and Jo Parkhill.

Youth artists are Billy Chiller, Shannon Margetts and April Lachal.
