IT was a very busy 2016 Bushrangers season for Mansfield local footballer, James Cousins.
After a quiet start to the season, Cousins certainly stood tall from the middle of the year.
Thanks to some great form in the TAC Cup, Cousins headed to the VFL to play two games with Richmond.
The great form continued and come October the midfielder won the Bushies’ John Byrne Medal for best and fairest.
Bushrangers talent manager Lee Fraser said Cousins had developed well in his time at the club.
“James started at half-back as a bottom-age player last year before moving into the midfield this season,” he said.
