Intervention order breach results in fine

ON April 10, a woman appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court, after breaching an intervention order on multiple occasions.

The order was placed by her now ex-partner, who she was together with for eight years and have two children together, who are currently living with the accused’s parents.

Prosecutor Sergeant Bill Rudd-Schmidt appeared alongside the woman, and listed occasions that she had breached the order.
The accused went to the protected person’s house on several occasions, including May 30, June 1 and June 13 – when she stayed the night at his house.

As part of the intervention order that was in place, the accused isn’t allowed to make contact with or ‘visit’ the protected person.
