MT BULLER local Mitch Reeves (pictured) couldn’t wipe the smile off his face on the first day of spring, with 11cm of fresh, dry snow landing on the slopes overnight, and a perfect clear morning and sunshine all day.
And another 7cm of fresh snow that night solidified that winter may be over, but the ski season certainly isn’t.
Skiers may have met a friendly Canadian on the lifts recently.
That would be Marc Le Page, who has made his own century, as Mt Buller is the 100th mountain he has skied in the world.
Sunshine and snow is still on the menu over the next week, with 21 lifts rolling with more than 96cm of very good snow cover.
