Stringybark discoveries to be presented to the public

SHARING HISTORY: Tony King, Adrian Younger, Leo Kennedy (Sgt Michael Kennedy’s great-grandson), Noeleen Lloyd and Jim Fogarty at the Kennedy Tree.

THE team of local amateur historians who believe they have discovered the true location of the famed Kennedy Tree at Stringybark Creek and the police camp will present their findings at a public event at Greta Hansonville Hall on Saturday, December 14 from 10am.

Adrian Younger, Tony King, Jim Fogarty and Noeleen Lloyd have detailed evidence to back up their findings which have already created tremendous interest in historical and government circles.

The Kennedy Tree marked the spot where the body of Victoria Police’s Sergeant Michael Kennedy was found in October 1878 after being shot by Ned Kelly
