OVER the last week, Mansfield Shire Council has revised its pandemic plan for the known aspects of coronavirus or Covid19 and been in contact with the hospital, aged care, businesses and other groups vulnerable to the potential impact of the virus.

Mayor Marg Attley said while the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is the lead agency during a pandemic, council has enacted its pandemic plan and has a role to ensure residents and ratepayers know where they can access the information they need to minimise the impact locally.

“As coronavirus or Covid19 has been declared an international pandemic, we all need to keep up to date with, and follow, the DHHS advice, which may change quickly,” Cr Attley said.
