You were the mayor who oversaw the creation of the new Mansfield shire in 2002. How long were you a councillor?

The whole process of getting the shire de-amalgamated took two terms of three years each.

In the first term we broke up the Delatite Shire, saying goodbye to Benalla, and then in the second term we re-built all the shire employment and infrastructure, and equipment which had been sold off.
