MANSFIELD Shire Council has received more than 1000 inquiries since the State Government announced metropolitan Melbourne residents could this week apply for permission to travel to regional Victoria to undertake maintenance on second properties.
Mansfield Shire chief executive officer Kaylene Conrick said the announcement was made on Sunday, October 18 to start from midnight on Wednesday, October 21.
"Our customer service team took 611 calls on Monday and we had an application form set up on our website by Tuesday,” Ms Conrick said.
