Inaugural pottery festival takes out best community event

ONE of the newest creative arts festivals to emerge on the local high country calendar took out the Mansfield Shire's Australia Day award for the Best Community Event.

A stunned but extremely grateful president of the Mansfield and District (MAD) Potters group, Karen Pirie, took to the podium with secretary Lynn Taylor, to give an acceptance speech.
