A LOVE of animals and helping children learn to read was the motivation for Mansfield’s Denise Skinner to get involved with the Story Dogs program at Mansfield Primary School and she now has a new canine recruit called Maggie ready to come on board.
Denise began in 2023 with her other dog Poppy as a volunteer for Story Dogs with the main aim of making reading fun for children.
