IT WAS a close call for a Mansfield resident when a large tree fell down on top of his home on Griffin Avenue last week.
The gum tree flanking Highett Street fell across the service road around 3PM last Monday afternoon, crashing through the roof of the brick house.
Police, SES and tree workers attended the scene.
