THE Mansfield Armchair Cinema (MAC) has made refurbishments to its candy bar and box office entrance on Chenery Street thanks to the Mansfield and District Community branch of the Bendigo Bank.
It is stage one of a three stage redevelopment.
Stage one involved installing new power saving lights including two chandeliers, red curtains in the windows to help keep the heat out and a new paint job, helping the cinema keep fresh and updated.
As a not–for–profit, the MAC is also giving back by donating 140 movie vouchers to the bank for use by carers in the Mansfield Shire.
The MAC is now in the middle of upgrading the original toilets and through the recent success of a Living Fund Grant, the disabled toilet will be upgraded and three new unisex toilets and wash area will be built.
The cinema may be closed for a couple of weeks in May to complete the main installation.
Congratulations to Bree Anstee and Josh White who have completed their School Based Apprenticeships with the MAC.
The cinema is now in the process of taking on two new students beginning the School Based Apprenticeship program with Harry Dunsmore & Jack Berg about to embark on the training journey.
