Fingers crossed

THE Myrtleford Showgrounds were abuzz with mowing last Thursday afternoon as Lions volunteers cut the knee–high grass in an effort to dry the soil and stop water flowing into the rodeo arena.

"We're all hoping that we're going to be able to keep this dry, and make the best day we've had for a lot of years," rodeo president John Panlook said.
