New space for primary school children

MANSFIELD is fortunate to be located at the base of the Victorian High Country.

Educationally this offers wonderful opportunities for our children, and no one takes up these opportunities better than The Farmhouse.

Their iconic nature-based educational program is held in high regard by many in our community, particularly loved by the children who attend.

In addition to Nature Kinder (three year old kindergarten), Bush Kinder (four year old kindergarten), childcare and free Playgroup, The Farmhouse has this year responded to increased requests from the community for more activities for primary-age children.

SKIDS is the before and after school program and school holidays program offered by The Farmhouse.

The SKIDS program is already known for its exciting, varied and engaging program.

In response to this popularity and love children have for the program, The Farmhouse has this year built a new space dedicated to primary-age children.

This space provides age-appropriate activities and resources, where these older children can sit comfortably or hang out, cook in their own kitchen and run free in their large new yard as well.

“Primary school children are fast-tracking their independence and need the space to test their abilities and boundaries," said Kim Stoney, founder of The Farmhouse.

"Our new SKIDS environment respects their desire to do this and our dedicated educators provide them with scope, challenges and opportunities to further build their knowledge and resilience.

“They want a space they can call their own.

"We’re dedicated to supporting these growing children to help them become the best person they can be. We’ve therefore invested in them and they now have their own place to hang out."
